New insights in travel satisfaction research

Transit users’ travel satisfaction is important for assessing the performance of transit-oriented development. Existing studies emphasize role service attributes, built environment, and attitudes in predicting transit satisfaction. However, few have jointly examined effects environment based on sophisticated theoretical foundations. This paper aims to narrow this gap by examining interaction accessibility towards users' from a person-environment fit perspective. The data household survey conducted Shanghai 2018. Using polynomial regression analysis with response surface methodology, study finds that significantly influence affective component satisfaction, but not cognitive component. Public increases congruence between attitude accessibility. Dissonance necessarily bad situation may improve when there an increase either factor.
